One Foot in Front of the Other

WāōH – With an open Heart

Trevor’s story is one of resilience, redemption, and discovering purpose through service to others.

Raised in a chaotic environment marked by addiction, abuse, and instability, he struggled from an early age with trauma, substance use, and a constant search for belonging. Despite flashes of success — academically, athletically, and professionally — the deeper wounds, some of them self-created, eventually caught up with him, leading to a complete personal collapse that left him battling his mental health and, ultimately, homeless.

But in that darkness came a turning point.

A simple message seen while staying in a men’s shelter sparked a journey of healing, self-discovery, and transformation. Through recovery, fatherhood, cycling, and community involvement, Trevor rebuilt his life with a new partner and a new purpose: giving back and helping others feel seen, supported, and connected.

That purpose led him to years of charity cycling, raising significant funds for causes supporting kids and families affected by childhood cancer, building community through endurance events, and eventually creating a business rooted in wellness, movement, and community.  His newest venture, WāōH is an evolution of his continued commitment to leave the world a better place than he inherited.

That spirit is at the heart of this new challenge. In December 2026, Trevor will attempt to complete 500km on and around the Elora Cataract Trailway with the goal of raising $5,000 in support of two causes deeply connected to the mission of WāōH. Participants and supporters will have the option to direct donations toward East Wellington Community Services, helping support unhoused and vulnerable community members, and/or toward the Elora Cataract Trailway Association, whose stewardship of the trail has helped create a powerful space for movement, healing, and human connection. More than an endurance challenge, the event is a living reflection of the belief that healing happens through community, purpose, and showing up for one another — with an open heart.
